Really tasty food. Calzone was huge, salmon was moist tender and flavorful, very good. A little pricey but good.
4.3 rating. Really nice servers every time I eat dinner hear. I often hear, "We are out of that" or "We just ran out" regarding some food and beer selections. It's a bit of a bummer. Food is mostly great and so is the lighting--it goes easy on the eyes.
Always enjoy eating and drinking here. Kitchen is closed at the moment due to COVID, but you can still enjoy a tasty brew and i suggest you do!
Even though the restaurant was crowded for Sunday lunch, we were able to get a table within 15 minutes of arriving. The service was prompt, friendly, and helpful and we had our mimosa and root beer out to the table in no time at all (both were delicious). We split an appetizer of the pickle chips (sweeter than most places, but the crunch and breading made it delicious) and the brunch menu can't do you wrong (highly recommend the burrito!). Definitely worth slipping in to see what the restaurant holds for you~
Came here at 12:20 on a Thursday, wait for less than 5 minutes to be seated. Our waitress Amillia was knowledgeable and shared the specials with us. Decided on a Reuben and French onion soup, both were 10/10. Never had a bad meal here.
Lennie's never lets me down. Great beer, friendly and efficient servers, delicious menu of casual fare.
I've eaten at Lennies several times and have always been pleased with the food and service, until last Saturday. I ordered a salad with Thousand Island dressing, which was not Thousand Island dressing. It was, I know not what, but so spicey hot, it was inedible. I let the waitress know, but she did nothing. She didn't even discount the meal. A total surprise, considering my past experiences at this restaurant.
Love the atmosphere and the home brewed root beer!
My partner and I had an excellent eating experience at Lennie's of Bloomington! from walking in the door and being greeted by two employees right away, seated and drink order taken in a timely manner. We asked for Rosé and sweet tea. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. Server was very friendly, once she learned it was my Birthday, she offered us a free dessert! I asked her to surprise me and she definitely did! With The Original Sin (House-made double chocolate brownie topped with locally-made vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge, and caramel sauce) mmmm I mean how can I not be happy!! She also presented our check with two complimentary Hershey kisses! Her name is (Liz). So, thank you Liz and all the staff for making it a very positive experience for us! And I absolutely recommend that y'all check it out! 🌷
If you are not a local don't go in after dark. The locals really have staked a claim here and will make you feel unwelcome. The pizza is good but Motherbears has much better pizza at a more reasonable price.
If you’re not gonna be open your regular hours, please update your online presence! Duh!🤬
Great service!
Waited for almost an hour for fried pickles and a chicken sandwich. The busser/host up front was cordial, but they had him doing EVERYTHING up front. It was not very busy, and there were only two tables filled by the time my order was put in. After my food was supposedly "ready" and was given the check, I tried to pay and be on my way, but was rudely brushed off by the bartender and a waitress in the back. Finally walked out after waiting another 15 minutes while my food was just sitting there, and was only acknowledged after I already walked out the door. Worst service I have ever received anywhere. I will never be coming back here, and it's a shame because I used to love going to the old Lennie's and was a regular for a good portion of 2018/19. Oh well, the food isn't worth the price anyways. This is the most scathing review I have ever given a place anywhere. Just shameful
Great food! We loved the seasoned fries, artichoke dip and roast beef sandwich! Can’t wait to visit this place again.
It's outstanding. Everytime I come to Bloomington I seek it out. It never disappoints. Ruby Bloom Amber was crisp and sweet.
Local legend, serving amazingly tasty and intentionally sourced food. The entire staff is fabulous, fast, and friendly. The menu is varied and complex but everything is delicious. Don't miss this one.
Hands down the best local beer in B-town. Food is also fantastic. Try pizza or a massive sandwich on weekdays, chicken and waffles on the weekend for brunch. Get a Java Porter to go with, you'll love it.
$13 - 16 for the sandwiches, and $12 for a personal pizza. So, it's a little salty, but they serve craft beers. Nice and cozy atmosphere; you have to like sitting next to people unless you're in a booth. Candles on the tables are a nice touch.
Food was very good (as always). Service was mediocre (slow with missing items). Room acoustics were awful (background noise makes conversations difficult). This was my first time at the Kirkwood location. Doubt that I will return at peak lunch or dinner time due to the noise.
Always enjoy going to Lennie's. Really like the lunch menu, though. The salads are great and I can count on the French Onion soup.
One of my favorite spots! A great place for meat eaters with a ton of veggie options. Great craft beer! I've always had great service! Their menu is fantastic and there is always something new. Truly a Bloomington treasure! And their new location is close enough to most major events in town you can easily walk to it!
Place is nice on the inside and welcoming, the staff seem nice. The food isn’t very good, I would say bland we didn’t finish our pizza or tortellini. Our server could tell we weren’t huge fans when we didn’t want a box. The price is crazy, spent $46 for two people.
We immediately found a seat and got waited on. Our waitress was very patient with our indecisive table and very helpful recommending her favorite dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and the place is clean. Food ranges from $12-$20. I ordered cheese pizza and it was amazing thin crust. I highly recommend this place!
Great pizza. Best gf pizza anywhere! Great beer selection.
Had the chicken tortellini and have to say it was as good as anything I’ve had in Italy. The pasta is creamy yellow and there’s an obscene amount of garlic. Should have taken a photo. Time for a nap.
Another great meal with delicious beer. The Bacon Turkey Melt is tasty and I had a couple Java Porters with the meal. Quite good.
Good atmosphere and great food. I really liked the sauce. I really like the wooden styled furniture.
Good service and great food!
Been going here for 20 years and all that time I've been missing out on their amazing chicken and mushroom tortellini. Totally worth it.
Quoted a 30 minute wait - actual only half that. Love the under promise, over deliver!Great service. Not a pest but always there when needed.Very tight seating, but not uncomfortable.Excellent appetizer choices, really tasty eggplant parmesan, and one of the best pizzas we have had in Bloomington, and that's saying something.Very good, large salads. Will return eagerly.
Wonderful food and service. I had the chili this time. It was great. Turkey tortilla salad is also a prize winner.
Love to eat here when visiting my daughter at IU. Never a bad meal! Their strombolis (calzones at most restaurants) are awesome.
Had dinner there this evening. Ordered the Bacon Turkey Melt, which according to the menu is " a Lenny's favorite". Sandwich was all bread with little turkey or other ingredients. A big disappointment for the $13.50 price tag. Served with chips, or rather Ruffles chip crumbs from the bottom of the bag. Our party also ordered the Spinach Artichoke Torta as the appetizer, which was nothing more than cream cheese layers topped with entirely too much cracked black pepper. Really nasty.Overall, horrible experience.
We had the waffles and the brunch bowl, both were delicious. I had the waffles and even though the scrambled eggs looked plain they fit perfectly into the bowl with the wild arrangement of flavors. It even made me jealous after my first two bites of the bowl. Staff is very polite, humorous and accommodating, I'm picky about my tables and requested a change. :)Would definitely return.
Spinach and artichoke appetizer, California pizza, and local IPAs were incredible. All very tasty. Service was amazing and restaurant was cozy and comfortable. Will definitely return when visiting Bloomington again.
Great beer. Great food. Great service
One of the best places to eat in town!
My boyfriend and I ate at their old location NYE 2017 and were unimpressed. We hadn't been back since. We went tonight on a whim, thinking we'd give it one more shot. Am I glad we did!!!!! I got the chicken tortellini and he got their pork dish, a Valentine's day special. Both dishes were PHENOMENAL!! Usually I think the cheese in tortellini is bland . Not with this dish. My meal was so flavorful. Everything was just right. The applesauce topping on my boyfriend's dish started out sweet and ended with some heat. The flavor profile was nothing short of perfect. We both got their mini desserts, they were so good and just the perfect amount. The restaurant was beautiful and they have completely changed my mind. We will be dining here often. This restaurant is an absolute must!!!
Lovely wood fired pizza, salad and sandwiches.
Nice selection of craft beers, great menu for every craving, comfortable place for friends and family. Locally owned, sustainably-minded and friendly service.
Food, service, and atmosphere were amazing! Recommended to us by our Airbnb host & was definitely worth a trip. A little pricey but you get what you pay for in quality & quantity!
One of my all time favorite Bloomington restaurants! The food, beer, and atmosphere is always great. Highly recommended.
Best beer, food, wait staff, and conversation!
Really enjoyed catching up with an old friend from tri North middle School today. We decided to try the crab cakes and they were delicious. The new Lennies location is great and very spacious. Will definitely be back and I'm happy that there is working Wi-Fi.
Lennie's is a Bloomington treasure. The food is fantastic, the beer delightful, and the service is impeccable. One of my regular meals is the wings with a side salad. The best wings in Bloomington hands down, and the best house salad I've had anywhere. Try the roasted red pepper vinaigrette; you won't be sorry. The pizza is a great choice if you like thin crust and delicious sauce. You only need to save a little room for dessert, because they have the perfect sized dessert shooters. That's what I call them - can't recall their name for them. But they're the perfect size - like a double shot of deliciousness. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse. But don't hesitate to try whatever the special is. I truly love this place and recommend it to locals and visitors alike. All are welcome and treated with great food, drink, and kindness.
The food is not bad but it is definitely the most overpriced in town. The service is completely awful. Probably the worst I've ever had. If it's not busy there is no excuse to wait an hour for food. Do yourself a favor and go to Nick's or Buffalouie's instead, they're right across the street. Nick's has better food for a lower price and is one of the longest-running places in town. Lennie's at the old location was decent but the wheels have fallen off at the new location. I never see it busy and they just can't compete with the other places downtown at the current price point with the wack service. Something is not right in Lennieland, and OWE should be looking at a menu overhaul as well as to take a look at the blonde waitresses who sit around and chat while your food just sits there in the heat window. If you want to go to a decent place owned by the same people try PizzaX
I was invited to recent soft opening and Lennie’s still has the food you love, five star service, and excellent management. The twist? The wood fired oven elevates the already delicious pizza and offerings! The menu has not radically changed, location is clean, has outdoor seating, and actually has more parking options then old location. I know people liked the old Bloomington funk of Lennie’s, but I personally applaud the cleanliness, fresh restrooms, and large “adult” bar.
Horrible French onion soup. One bite and threw it away. Almost had a sour taste to it. Should be salty.
Rooftop is Indiana's best kept IPA secret.Best bartender in the tri-state area to boot.
